This project for a small but mature orthopedic practice was completed in October, 2000. AFH helped Dr. James Wheeler analyze space needs and site requirements and then project total project development costs. Building area includes 4,068 s.f. on the main level, plus a 650 s.f. attic level.
Located on a hospital campus in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the design for this new medical practice facility takes a conservative yet solid approach utilizing brick and aluminum as the major exterior components for low maintenance. Although small, the facility utilizes all of the medical planning efficiencies of much larger facilities. A storage and mechanical attic space is also included under the sloping lines of a hip and gable roof.
